Life Begins at Helen McArdle Care is a new concept in day centres and we are opening centres across the whole of the North East.

At Life Begins we are passionate about the quality of life enjoyed by older people. Helen McArdle, the Founder and Chairman of Life Begins, has had over 25 years experience of caring for the elderly and she truly believes that there is no reason why older people can’t enjoy the same experiences, tastes and activities that the younger generation do.

With this in mind, all of our Life Begins Centres have been purpose-built to ensure that we are able to offer a range of activities and services that can enhance the everyday lives of our members. The centres have been designed to offer flexibility, ensuring that no day is the same and that our members can be as relaxed or as active as they desire. As time goes on and your needs change, we will continue to work with you to maximise your enjoyment of life.

We employ professional, dedicated and committed members of staff who spend quality time listening and talking to our members to ensure a friendly and relaxed atmosphere is created.
