The purpose-built care Home is organised across three floors with spacious living accommodation comprising of several smaller lounges and dining areas. Like all Helen McArdle Care Homes, Melbury Court is decorated throughout to the highest standard. The bedrooms are large and well-equipped and all come with ensuite facilities, some offering their own shower. All the facilities you might expect and some you might not, such as plasma televisions in the lounges and in some of the bedrooms, a beauty salon, direct dial telephones to every room, unlimited wifi access and a Nintendo wii.

As well as having a beautiful interior, Melbury Court boasts fabulous landscaped gardens and outside sitting areas for residents to enjoy the fresh Durham air!

Nursing at Melbury Court -In the new 24 bed nursing wing at Melbury Court  your loved ones will be cared for by fully qualified RGN’s, who will prepare individual care plans to ensure that we provide the highest quality of care that is specific to your needs. The bedrooms are large and well equipped and all come with en-suite facilities.

The Lumley Wing – The lower ground floor of Melbury Court is an exclusive respite wing for elderly people who aren’t quite ready to move into a home but who need a little bit of rest and recuperation. The exclusive package includes: your own front door with direct access to the gardens from your fully furnished bedroom, a plasma screen television and DVD player, and complimentary toiletries and newspapers.

Cath Winning, the Home Manager, is a registered nurse with over 15 years experience of running a care home. Together with her dedicated staff team she is able to deliver the care you need 24 hours a day. Her aim is to value each and every individual who comes to stay at Melbury Court and to ensure that their every need is attended to.
